ECHR and Carrboro Police Department Community Outreach Baby Shower

On November 15th, the East Chapel Hill Rotary Club teamed up with the Carrboro Police Department and other donors and supporters for a heartwarming community event which was part baby shower, part outreach, and all about supporting local families.

The focus? Car seat safety, postpartum support, and lactation education along with food, baby supplies, and plenty of warm welcomes for some of the newest members of our community.

In keeping with Rotary’s commitment to maternal and child health, our club donated 10 convertible car seats that grow with the child, helping families stay safe as their little ones grow.

We’re so glad we could be part of this wonderful day and grateful for the chance to connect with families and celebrate new beginnings.

Huge shoutout to the Carrboro Police Department, especially social workers Junika Jones and Monrita Hughes, for their incredible vision and hard work to bring this all together.

We hope this is just the first of many such collaborations
